Zimbabwean trade unionist Obert Masaraure convicted for inciting protests against fellow union leader's prosecution.

Zimbabwean trade unionist Obert Masaraure, leader of the Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ), has been convicted for obstruction of justice. Masaraure was found guilty for inciting public protests, via social media, against the prosecution of fellow trade union leader Robson Chere, implicated in the 2016 murder of educationist Roy Issa. Masaraure awaits sentencing following his conviction.
