67-year-old Fran Rooney, former CEO of Baltimore Technologies and FAI, has passed away.
Former Baltimore Technologies and FAI CEO Fran Rooney, known for leading Baltimore Technologies to a multibillion-dollar valuation during the dot-com boom and overseeing the FAI after the 2002 World Cup, has died at age 67. Rooney, a Dublin businessman, also had a playing career in the League of Ireland and managed the Ireland Women's National Team before serving as the first CEO of the FAI.
