45-year-old Colt Lightfoot, a Zanesville resident, pled guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and other charges for striking and killing 71-year-old motorcyclist Gary Frey in a hit-and-run accident. Lightfoot received a 15-year prison sentence and a lifetime driver's license suspension. The incident occurred when Lightfoot failed to yield while turning on U.S. Highway 40 and was driving a stolen vehicle.
