40-year-old British climber Daniel Paul Paterson and his 23-year-old Sherpa guide Pas Tenji Sherpa went missing on Mount Everest after an ice fall while descending from the summit. The pair were last heard around 4.40am local time on May 21. They were part of a 15-member team with 8K Expeditions, led by Bolivian climber David Hugo Ayaviri Quispe. An ice collapse near the South Summit knocked the climbers down during their descent.
