Volvo Cars is rebranding its electric C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge models to EC40 and EX40, respectively, as part of its aim to become a fully electric brand by 2030. The new names align with its electric EX30 and EX90 SUVs, and both models now offer new battery and electric motor options. Volvo has also simplified its price structure for the EC40 and EX40 Plus and Ultra models.
