SpiceJet plans to demand a refund of Rs 450 crore from former promoter Kalanithi Maran and his firm, KAL Airways, following the Delhi High Court's recent ruling in the airline's favour. The Division Bench of the Delhi High Court overturned a previous single-judge order, positioning SpiceJet to claim a substantial refund based on legal advice. SpiceJet has paid a total of Rs 730 crore to Maran and KAL Airways, including Rs 580 crore in principal and an additional Rs 150 crore in interest.
