San Diego County Board of Supervisors approved $19.6M in federal funding for a migrant transition day center, to help immigrants entering the US travel to their final destinations. The funds will be used to provide temporary shelter, food, transportation, medical care, and hygiene supplies for migrants recently released from federal DHS custody. The decision aims to address the global migration challenge facing the county.
