Resident Natasha Chance sues UBC and UBC Properties Investments over forced evacuation due to 43-storey tower campus construction.

Natasha Chance, a resident of Hadgraft Wilson Place, has filed a lawsuit against the University of British Columbia (UBC) and UBC Properties Investments Ltd. in the Supreme Court of B.C. in Kelowna. Chance alleges that she and 83 other residents were disrupted in their lifestyles and education due to being forced to evacuate their homes on short notice in March 2024 because of safety concerns related to the construction of UBCO's 43-storey tower campus at 550 Doyle Avenue.
