On May 20, an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper was injured when his parked patrol car was struck by an impaired driver, Curtis A. Rogers Jr., on the Ohio Turnpike in Sandusky County. Rogers, 33, veered off the road and crashed into the parked Dodge Charger, leading to charges of operating a vehicle while impaired and aggravated vehicular assault. The trooper was taken to St. Vincent Medical Center for treatment.
