The Nigerian House of Representatives has passed a resolution urging the Federal Government to convert permanently forfeited lands and buildings into offices for federal government agencies operating from rented offices, in a bid to reduce high expenditure on rent and office buildings. The resolution follows a motion sponsored by Hon. Esosa Iyawe, highlighting that asset recovery is a powerful but underutilised tool against corruption.
