Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo announces a $250m investment, the Nevada Middle Mile Network, to improve internet connectivity for 40,000 residents in underserved areas. The 2,500-mile open-access fiber optic network aims to expand network capacity between urban and rural regions, and over $900m will be dedicated to broadband infrastructure and digital equity initiatives over the next four years.
