Nagaland participates in Miss Universe India for the first time with an audition on July 2, 2023. The Beauty & Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN) selects a candidate to represent the state. From next year, Miss Nagaland will directly represent the state at Miss Universe India. Online registration began on May 22, with a registration fee of INR 1000. Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd owns the rights for Miss Universe in India and has appointed Mele Pucho as the state director for Nagaland.
