Leyla Aliyeva met with UN representatives in Geneva to discuss enhancing joint efforts on global hunger, food security, and climate change impact.
Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder of the IDEA Public Union, met with Gian Carlo Cirri of the UN World Food Programme (WFP) and Arnold Kreilhuber of the UN Environment Programme's Europe Office in Geneva. The discussions focused on enhancing joint efforts to address global hunger, food security in conflict and disaster zones, and the impact of climate change on food systems. Aliyeva proposed expanding the role of Azerbaijani volunteers in WFP activities worldwide and invited the UN representatives to participate in the COP29 conference in Baku.
