Kildare Town hosts Stage 4 of the Rás Tailteann, Ireland's premier international cycling race, on 25 May, for the first time since 2013. The 2024 event starts in Tullamore on 22 May, covering 784.8 km across five stages, and concludes in Bective, County Meath, on 26 May. This year's race includes a stage finish in Kilmallock, a historic first for the town, and showcases the beauty of Irish roads.
