Ireland's Minister for Energy expands Small-Scale Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (SRESS) to increase financial rewards for solar and wind power adopters.
Ireland's Minister for Energy, Eamon Ryan, announced an expansion of the Small-Scale Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (SRESS) that will increase financial rewards for communities, small businesses, farmers, and individuals adopting solar and wind power. The scheme, which supports power output of between 50kW and 6MW, aims to facilitate broader participation in the country's clean energy transition and fill the gap between existing schemes for very small and very large electricity producers. Under the revised SRESS, farmers can receive up to €130/MWh for renewable energy export projects.
