Indigenous CBC employee Richard Agecoutay has been granted a human rights hearing over claims of systemic racism and discrimination at the public broadcaster. Agecoutay alleges he has repeatedly been denied work due to his race and that the broadcaster offered a settlement, which he declined due to a requested non-disclosure agreement. CBC denies the allegations and claims that all videographers assigned to Hockey Night in Canada were given less work that year due to a shortened season.
