India's Supreme Court revokes PFI members' bail, orders expedited trial under UAPA for alleged terrorist conspiracies.

The Supreme Court of India has revoked the bail granted by the Madras High Court to eight alleged members of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), who were arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for conspiring to commit terrorist acts. The court cited the gravity of the offences, the short jail sentence, and the evidence collected by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as reasons for its decision. The Supreme Court has directed the expedited trial of the case.
