Hawaii court orders Bristol Myers Squibb & Sanofi's US subsidiaries to pay $916m for failing to disclose efficacy and safety of blood thinner Plavix. First Circuit Court Judge James Ashford found companies didn't update Plavix label despite knowing about 30% patients, particularly non-Caucasians, having a diminished response to the drug. The pharmaceutical giants dispute the judgement and plan to appeal.
