Georgia real estate firm Union South Partners has purchased the Sun-Ray Cinema Theatre building in Jacksonville's Five Points area for $7 million. The historic theatre's lease has expired and won't be renewed. Owner Jay Weaver of Union South Partners plans a $2 million renovation and upgrade project to preserve the historic building while transforming it into a new entertainment destination.
