Finnish Bank Governor Olli Rehn suggests ECB may cut rates before US Fed due to easing inflation.

Finnish Bank Governor Olli Rehn said the ECB can start cutting rates before the US Federal Reserve, as inflation pressures ease. Rehn told AFP that the ECB doesn't need to follow the Fed's lead, and rates could be lowered as soon as June. In the past, the ECB had followed the Fed's interest rate hikes, but with consumer prices now cooling, European policymakers may move first to reduce borrowing costs in their June meeting.
