The Edmonton Stingers opened their CEBL season by defeating Calgary Surge 97-79 in front of a record crowd of 12,327 at Scotiabank Saddledome. This win avenged Edmonton's losses to Calgary in 2023, when the Surge won three out of four regular-season games and eliminated the Stingers in the Western Conference semifinal. Davion Warren led the Stingers with 17 points and five rebounds.
