A BSF jawan in Rajasthan's Bikaner demonstrated the intense heat during the current heatwave by roasting a papad on hot sand. The video, which went viral, shows the jawan placing the papad on the hot sand, covering it with sand and waiting for a few seconds for it to cook in the 47-degree Celsius temperature. The IMD has issued a red alert for Delhi and parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh due to high temperatures.
