Andretti Global, with GM backing, hires Pat Symonds as executive engineering consultant to join Formula One entry by 2026.
Andretti Global, led by Michael Andretti, has hired former Renault and Williams Formula One chief technical officer Pat Symonds as an executive engineering consultant. Symonds, who has served as chief technical officer with F1 since 2017, will join Andretti Global in its push to join Formula One, targeting entry in 2025 or 2026. The company has been working on securing a place on the grid and is backed by General Motors.
