38-year-old Manhattan resident Brandon Colson was arrested on child abuse charges, specifically torturing, cruelly beating, or striking a child under 6, on Saturday night in the 1000 block of Laramie Street. Colson, with previous convictions for burglary, forgery, and aggravated escape from custody, is being held at Riley County Jail with a total bond set at $100,000. He remains confined as of Monday morning.
