Wabtec Corp. has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Rohtak, India, at a cost of $18 million. The 10,000-square-meter factory will initially produce components and subsystems for rail transit, including axle-mounted disc brake systems, distributor valves, brake calipers, and actuators. The facility supports Wabtec's commitment to the Indian market and the government's 'Make in India' initiative, and in the future, it will expand to include other Wabtec products for the rail, mining, and industrial sectors.
