2021-traded New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor returns to Cleveland for the first time.
Francisco Lindor, the New York Mets shortstop, returns to Cleveland for the first time since being traded in 2021. Lindor played in Cleveland from 2015-2020, and his return to Progressive Field brings back memories of his time with the Guardians, including winning a World Series. Since being traded to the Mets, Lindor has struggled to match his performance in Cleveland, batting .193 as of May 2024.
