Solo climber found dead on Denali, North America's highest peak, after missing contact with family.

A solo climber attempting to solo climb Denali, the highest peak in North America, was found dead on May 20th. The climber had been using a satellite communication device to keep in touch with family members, who reported to rangers they had not heard from the climber in days. Denali National Park and Preserve authorities found the climber's tent and used information from interviews and location data from the climber's device to identify their location. This year, at least 14 climbers have died in falls along Denali's West Buttress route, including the soloist.
