90% of passengers in India receive baggage within 30 mins of landing, up from 62.2% in January, due to BCAS's efforts to improve baggage delivery system.

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) reported a significant improvement in baggage delivery times at major airports in India, with over 90% of passengers receiving their baggage within 30 minutes of an aircraft landing, as compared to 62.2% in January. This progress comes after the BCAS started an exercise to enhance the baggage delivery system in January, in line with global standards set by the International Air Transport Association and provisions under the OMDA (Operation, Management and Development Agreement).
