Pakistan's federal cabinet expressed dissatisfaction with the inquiry commission report on the 2017 Faizabad sit-in, following the Supreme Court's observation that the findings did not align with the terms of reference. Attorney General for Pakistan, Mansoor Usman Awan, presented the report to the cabinet. The cabinet directed the formation of a special committee to submit recommendations.
