Nevada will receive $3.5m for wildfire resilience and hazardous fuels reduction efforts, announced Senators Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez Masto. The funds will assist at-risk communities throughout the state to plan for and mitigate wildfire risks, as Nevada experiences more frequent and extreme wildfires due to climate change. The senators also introduced the National Wildland Fire Risk Reduction Program Act to improve wildfire sensing.
