MLB is investigating former Los Angeles Angels infielder David Fletcher for allegedly placing bets through an illegal sports bookie, Mathew Bowyer, who was also involved in a gambling debt scandal involving Shohei Ohtani's former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara. Fletcher is currently playing for the Atlanta Braves' Triple-A team. If found guilty, Fletcher could face suspension or a fine.
