Missouri Governor Mike Parson has decided not to cover damages from defamation lawsuits filed against three state senators, who falsely identified a Kansas man as the shooter at the Chiefs' Super Bowl parade. Taxpayers will not cover legal expenses for the senators, who were represented by Attorney General Andrew Bailey. Governor Parson stated that he cannot justify using taxpayer money for legal expenses in such cases.
