21 May, a man stabbed two individuals on a Taichung Mass Rapid Transit train in Taiwan, leading to delays and temporary suspension of operations at Taichung City Hall Station. Other passengers stepped in to stop the attacker, hitting him in the head and taking away his knives. Three people were injured, including the assailant. The motive behind the attack is unknown and under investigation.
