The Isle of Wight Council partially reopened a seawall footpath between Totland Bay and Colwell, clearing debris. Repairs to the Colwell seawall and Shanklin sea wall are scheduled to begin, extending their life ahead of major defence schemes. The council and Environment Agency aim to improve coastal protection over the next five years.
