300 Indian trafficking victims staged a revolt in Cambodia on May 20, leading to most of them being arrested. The victims, from Andhra Pradesh, were trapped in Cambodia for over a year, forced to commit cybercrimes and ponzi scams by Chinese handlers. Indian police have contacted the Ministry of External Affairs and relevant departments to repatriate the youth. Approximately 5,000 Indians are believed to have been trafficked to Cambodia by various agents.
