Former Florida football recruit and current Georgia quarterback Jaden Rashada is suing Gators coach Billy Napier and a top booster over a failed name, image and likeness (NIL) deal worth nearly $14m. The lawsuit alleges that Napier and booster Hugh Hathcock defrauded Rashada by breaking a promised $13.85m NIL deal after he had turned down offers from other programs. This marks the first known case of a collegiate athlete suing a coach or booster over NIL deal issues since the NCAA allowed players to earn compensation as part of a rule change.
