Airtel Malawi has introduced new security features on its "MyAirtel" Mobile App to combat mobile money fraud. The company removed One Time Password (OTP) and replaced it with SMS verification and biometric facial/fingerprint recognition for added security. The move comes after rising cases of mobile money fraud and concerns raised by the Parliamentary Committee on Media, Information, and Communications Technology.
