Fifth-generation lobsterman Jacob Knowles caught a giant lobster weighing over ten pounds, estimated to be around 100 years old based on its size. As the lobster is larger than five inches, Maine law requires it to be released back into the Atlantic Ocean for its importance in breeding. Lobsters are aged by seven years per pound, making the giant lobster a significant find.
