42-year Irish Defence Forces veteran, Martin Clabby, retires as son, Sergeant Nathan Clabby, begins six-month tour in Lebanon; both served two tours together.

42-year veteran of the Irish Defence Forces, Company Sergeant Martin Clabby, is retiring and his son, Sergeant Nathan Clabby, has just started a six-month tour in Lebanon. The father and son have served two tours of Lebanon together. Martin Clabby, who joined the army at 17, has served on 13 overseas missions, nine of which were in Lebanon. He said he has loved his career in the Defence Forces and has seen the world.
