Uber has launched an electric car incentive for its London-based drivers, offering £5,000 grants to help meet its commitment that all Uber vehicles in the city will be fully electric by the end of 2025. Drivers can use the grant funds as a lump sum for electric vehicle (EV) purchases or for rental or rent-to-buy agreements. Uber has secured significant discounts on selected EV models for its drivers, with around 25% of Uber journeys in London already completed in electric cars. The initiative supports London Mayor Sadiq Khan's goal for the city to become a net-zero carbon emitter by 2030.
