NOSM University reports that half of its medical graduates are choosing family medicine, contributing to the creation of a strong health workforce for Northern Ontario. This marks the highest proportional rate in Canada. Of the graduating MDs, 52% will do their residency training at NOSM University, with about 90% of learners who complete both an MD degree and a residency in the North staying in the region.
