Michigan leaders celebrate the EPA's new clean car standards, finalized in March, as a positive step in the fight against climate change. The Multi-Pollutant Emissions Standards for Model Years 2027 and Later Light-Duty and Medium-Duty Vehicles will phase in over model years 2027-2032. State Rep. Jasper Martus believes investing in electric vehicles and higher vehicle production standards will create good-paying jobs while combating climate change.
