China's largest offshore solar project, a 2M kW photovoltaic farm, begins construction in Jiangsu Province. Developed by China National Nuclear Corporation, it combines PV and nuclear power, reducing marine ecosystem impact while providing additional clean energy. Scheduled for completion in 2025, the project will save 680,000 tonnes of coal and cut 1.77M tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
