Lagos State authorities sealed 840 event centres and social facilities for safety violations, inspecting 7,819 facilities and issuing fire safety compliance certificates to 5,220 of them. The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service responded to 2,537 incidents, rescuing 376 victims and preserving N152.22bn worth of property. The government is also working on infrastructure improvements and personnel welfare enhancements.
