Hyundai's car selling prices increased by 41% domestically and 95% overseas due to a weak South Korean won and higher costs.

Hyundai's car selling prices have soared over the past five years due to a weak South Korean won, higher costs, and high-end models, according to the company's data. In the domestic market, the average selling price of Hyundai's passenger vehicles rose by 41% to 53.19 million won ($39,210) in Q1 2021. Overseas vehicle prices also increased by 95% to 64.19 million won ($47,319) mainly due to the won's weakness against the US dollar.
