French gallery Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario hosts an exhibition of Montreal-born media artist Nadine Valcin's work, titled "Origins," from May 24 to June 29. Born to Haitian parents, Valcin's exhibits explore themes of identity, language, and representation, tackling topics such as blackface, stereotypes, and the history of black presence in Canada. A talk featuring Valcin will take place on May 23 with guests Ahmed Saba, ER, and Isak Vaillancourt.
