Former Jetstar pilot Gregory Lynn is on trial for allegedly murdering Russell Hill, 74, and Carol Clay, 73, while they were camping in Victoria's Wonnangatta Valley in March 2020. Lynn has denied the charges. Farmer Nicholas Linden testified that he found the couple's burnt campsite on March 25, 2020, describing it as "alarming" and noting that Hill's Toyota LandCruiser appeared brand new with fire damage.
