Alphabet invests €1bn in Finland for data center expansion, driven by green energy access.

Google's parent company Alphabet plans to invest €1bn ($1.1bn) in Finland to expand its main data center, driven by the region's access to green energy. This expansion will increase the facility's staff by 100 and participate in a pilot project to use excess heat from servers for district heating. The investment is part of Google's aim to run all offices and data centers on green energy by the end of the decade.
