88-year-old Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas won his seventh Preakness Stakes, with his horse Seize the Grey defeating Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan in a muddy Pimlico Race Course track. The victory ended Mystik Dan's Triple Crown bid, extending the current Triple Crown drought to six years. Seize the Grey led wire to wire, finishing the 1 3/16-mile race in 1:56.82, with Mystik Dan finishing 2 1/4 lengths behind.
