A girl was fatally shot in downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday, May 18, around 11:40 p.m. on Southwest Ottawa Avenue. The Grand Rapids Police Department's Major Case Team is investigating, and anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at (616) 456-3380 or Silent Observer at (616) 774-2345. The victim's name and age have not been released.
